These days, you might be quite worried about the developing situation trigger by Nancy Pelosi's visit to China’s Taiwan region. I am sure you understand that the visit not only violates the US's own official one-China principle, infringes on China's sovereignty, but also threatens the whole region's stability. We are all fully aware that some American politicians and Taiwan separatists are the troublemakers. Their actions are driven by selfish calculations, in an attempt to bolster their own political standing. Of course, we cannot allow this unprovoked challenge to our sovereignty pass without appropriate responses. Of course, we cannot allow individual political agendas to harm regional stability without a firm NO.

This week, I had the privilege to attend the Singapore National Day Parade. While sitting at the Marina Bay floating platform, and watching the celebrations, I was deeply touched by Singaporean's patriotism. You love your country so much, cherish peace so much, and long for a brighter future so such. At that moment, I felt just like I am one of you. I could relate to your feelings, because the Chinese people, as well as people in this region, are exactly the same as you are: "Together Stroger”, indeed. The region is our shared home, and regional stability is our shared interest.

We have got enough challenges to tackle together: strengthen our regional supply chains, speeding up our economic recovery, enhancing our cooperation, uplifting people's livelihoods and building a brighter future. As for the powers so far away, if they come to help with good will, we definitely welcome. If they come to manufacture another crisis, then we have every right to say a firm NO. Their aggression have caused wars and famines in so many regions of the world. Let's speak out to those troublemakers together: no, no, not here, not at our home.

Good afternoon. First of all, on behalf of the Chinese government and the people in China, please accept my sincere congratulations to you the Singaporeans for your 57th anniversary of the National Day. I had a privilege to attend your National Day Parade this week at the Marina Bay floating platform, where I was deeply touched by a series of performances that illustrated the Singaporean nation as a patriotic and peace-loving people with determinations to defend your homeland for the prosperity of this country.

The Chinese nation shares exactly the same values, with which the Chinese government is determined to establish and maintain foreign relationships with other countries on the reciprocal and mutual-respect basis, but is also determined to fight back without any hesitation if our sovereignty is challenged by anyone in any means. As may have occurred to you, the Chinese military forces have conducted rapid and firm actions in response to Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, a territory of China. We have warned the United States many times before, and as you see, when it comes to the sovereignty, we never eat our words.

No country in today could develop on its own, and therefore of course, the rising tensions would not only impact the parties directly involved, but also would arouse the concerns of every country in the nearby region. If we allow such events to continue to occur, the stability and prosperity of the whole region would be at significant risks. Just like the platform of the NDP which belongs to Singaporeans, the region belongs to everyone here, and we have every right to perform our own approach to prosperity for ourselves. We cannot afford it reduced to a platform for external politicians to seek agendas selfishly at their own and sole interests and at our costs.

Fifty-seven years ago, when exorbitant pressures were imposed on Singapore to seek your YES to foreign interventions, the Singaporean said NO with bravery. Seventy-two years ago, when tons of US-made bombs were dumped onto the Chinese soldiers in order for our YES to surrender, we said NO with courage. Today, should any external power, for their own interests and at our costs, intends to deviate us from the approach to a shared and prosperous regional economy with robust supply chains, we have no reason not to stand together, get stronger, and give the same answer again.

https://youtu.be/qt6SVtdiZOw

Good afternoon. On behalf of the government and the people of China, please accept my sincerest congratulations to you Singaporeans for your 57th anniversary of the National Day. I had a the privilege to attend your National Day Parade this week at the Marina Bay floating platform. I was deeply touched by the celebration. It illustrated Singapore as a patriotic and peace-loving people with determinations to defend your homeland for your posterity and for each other.

The Chinese people share the same values, upon which the Chinese government is determined to establish and maintain foreign relationships with other nations on a reciprocal and mutual-respect basis. But the Chinese people are also determined to fight back without any hesitation if our sovereignty is challenged by anyone in by / through any means. As you may have known, the Chinese military forces have swiftly taken actions in response to Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, a territory of China. We have warned the United States many times before. When it comes to our sovereignty, we never eat our words.

In today’s world, no nation can develop on its own, and therefore, the rising tensions would not only impact the parties directly involved, but also arouse the concerns of other nations in the region. If we allow such events to continue to occur, the stability and prosperity of the whole region would be at significant risks. As the platform of the NDP belongs to Singaporeans, so the region belongs to everyone in it. We have every right to adopt our own approach to prosperity for ourselves. We cannot allow this region, shared by us all, to be reduced to an arena, a playground, for Western politicians to seek their agendas and interests at our costs.

Fifty-seven years ago, when exorbitant pressures were imposed on Singapore to seek your YES to foreign interventions, you bravely said NO. Seventy-two years ago, when thousands of U.S.-made bombs were dropped on Chinese soldiers for our YES to surrender, we firmly said NO. Today, should any foreign power, seeking its interest at our costs, intends to obstruct us from achieving a prosperous regional economy, we have no reason not to stand together, become stronger, and give the same answer again.

例如 ‘The Chinese nation shares exactly the same values …’

Therefore, but, of course
